Our Approach

We begin by understanding each individual’s needs, goals, and preferences. Support may include individual, group, or experiential options and can evolve over time. Our model is flexible, supportive, and rooted in dignity and choice.

Accessing Support

Support through Peace 4 Peacekeepers is offered on a pay-what-you-can basis, ensuring cost is never a barrier to care. Participants may contribute anywhere from $0–$25 for an initial series of sessions (typically five). If additional or alternative support is needed, we help connect individuals with appropriate care.

ART

Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Peace 4 Peacekeepers provides access to Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — an evidence-based, trauma-focused therapeutic approach that helps individuals process distressing experiences in a structured and compassionate way.

ART is designed to support meaningful progress in a shorter timeframe than traditional talk therapy, without requiring individuals to relive or verbally recount traumatic experiences in detail.

This approach is especially well-suited for first responders, veterans, and others in high-stress service roles who may carry cumulative stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm.

ART is one of several trauma-informed approaches used within Peace 4 Peacekeepers’ programming and is delivered by licensed, ART-trained clinicians.

Research has shown ART to be effective in helping individuals:

  • Reduce symptoms of trauma and post-traumatic stress

  • Decrease anxiety, depression, and emotional distress

  • Improve sleep and overall emotional regulation

  • Increase clarity, resilience, and sense of control

ART is recognized as an evidence-based therapy and is supported by peer-reviewed research across a range of trauma-related conditions.
